Disability Is Ability is a program with a sense of individuality, performing talks to people of all ages in schools, youth clubs and businesses whilst providing inspiration and motivation along the way.
The acclaimed Project DIA began its movement in November 2013 through the initiation of founder Harry Williams at 18-years-old and has since travelled around the city of Manchester, England, talking to children, teenagers and adults alike in a mission to spread awareness and appreciation for the limb-difference community.
Focus
The primary focus of Disability Is Ability is to showcase just how disability can in fact be utilised as an ability through the message and mindset of positive thinking. A disability is a constant hurdle that carries persistent struggles whether it be mental or physical. Where the program's focus lies is in how you can continue to leap over those hurdles to create self-confidence, self-belief and a better you.
